Directed by Gary Fleder, this film follows the real life of Ernie Davis (Rob Brown) and the obstacles he faces during his football career at Syracuse University before becoming the first African American to win the Heisman Trophy. In his first-ever movie, Boseman portrays Floyd Little, a fellow Syracuse running back who went on to become a legendary football player himself.
