Idris Elba was crowned People's Sexiest Man Alive of 2018 today, a title that we've known he's deserved all along.

The news was announced late last night on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. "It is amazing! I'm really, really happy with that," Elba said of the announcement. "Thank you so much People Magazine for making me Sexiest Man in the World. It's an honor, my mom is going to be very, very proud."

Elba joins the prestigious list of 32 other seriously good looking men who've earned the title in pervious years, including Adam Levine, The Rock, David Beckham, Matthew McConaughey, and Hugh Jackman. (Last year Blake Shelton received the honor, which raised some questions on Twitter.)

The 46-year-old British stud is known for his roles in Luther, The Wire, The Office, Thor, and The Mountain Between Us, amongst many other acting credits. The five-time Emmy nominee also dipped his toe into the professional kickboxing world and produced a documentary, Idris Elba: Fighter, following his journey.
