5 Young AEW Wrestlers Who Are The Real Deal (& 5 Who Still Have A Lot To Prove)

AEW boasts a wonderfully promising roster within each and every division, with a strong focus on youth being mixed in with their many stars and legends. There are young names still in their 20s who are already showcasing themselves as ready-made stars in the business and have already had success in AEW.

However, there are still some young and promising individuals who still have a ways to go to prove themselves worthy of being considered as a future star. Whether that being improvements in charisma or in the ring, not every prospect is 100% ready for the spotlight just yet.

10 Real Deal: Julia Hart

Julia Hart still has a lot of improving to do, but that doesn’t mean that she isn’t already the real deal. She is just 21 years of age, making her one of the absolute youngest on the whole roster, but she has shown so much sign of improvement anyway.

Particularly since joining the House of Black, Hart’s character work has been excellent, and the way she holds herself in the ring is great. In many ways, she’s very underrated right now given that she isn’t really involved in storylines with the rest of the women’s roster, so hasn’t shone as much as she’s able to.

9 Still Has A Lot To Prove: Action Andretti

It is clear that Tony Khan saw potential in Action Andretti when he was booked to defeat Chris Jericho, but he has struggled to keep up momentum since then. He is still young but has failed to show the charisma of someone who could be a future star.

Andretti is talented in the ring, but that isn’t enough to stand out, particularly somewhere like AEW where there are so many world-class wrestlers.

8 Real Deal: Sammy Guevara

Sammy Guevara has his detractors, and whilst he doesn’t always connect, he has shown multiple times over the years that he has the potential to be a main eventer. He was both a terrific heel and babyface in the Inner Circle and whilst things went downhill, it was more his booking than his ability.

Ever since then, he has only improved more and more, often stealing the show whenever he is in the ring. Even if his ceiling is below the main event, he is still the real deal already as an upper midcarder.

7 Still Has A Lot To Prove: Hook

Hook managed to secure an instant connection with the fans when he made his in-ring debut. However, just being flashy in the ring can only get you so far.

From a charisma standpoint, Hook still hasn’t stood out yet in AEW. He has yet to really cut a proper promo, and if you want to make it as a star, you need to have more than just in-ring ability. He does have a unique aura around him which is unteachable, but he still has a lot to prove.

6 Real Deal: Jamie Hayter

Jamie Hayter does have experience, but she is still in her 20s, making her among the younger names in the women’s division. There is no doubting Tony Khan’s decision to make her the AEW Women’s World Champion as she is no doubt ready for the spotlight.

She may not be the best on the mic, but in the ring, she does all her talking, having some of the best women’s matches in AEW history already.

5 Still Has A Lot To Prove: Top Flight

Top Flight has a lot of potential, but the curse of ill-timed injuries has prevented them from truly breaking out and proving themselves in AEW. They still have plenty to prove as a duo, particularly from a charisma standpoint though.

When they are both fit and healthy, fans can hope that they find a way to climb the ranks and finally establish themselves in AEW’s tag team division as stars for the future.

4 Real Deal: Daniel Garcia

Daniel Garcia’s extended stay in the Jericho Appreciation Society was looked down upon at first, but it has done him the world of good in terms of expanding his character and charisma, giving him more opportunity to experiment - something he may not have had the chance to do in the Blackpool Combat Club.

Garcia now looks comfortable behind the mic and acting both serious and silly, showcasing a lot of range that now makes him look ready to become a champion in AEW when the company deems it his time.

3 Still Has A Lot To Prove: Skye Blue

Skye Blue has had a recent surge in popularity and momentum in AEW, showcasing herself as able to connect to the audience and have a good match in the ring. However, she still has a long way to go.

She still needs to improve across the board in terms of mic work and in-ring work, though the tools are all there for her to become a star in the division eventually.

2 Real Deal: Bandido

Given his success in the professional wrestling industry thus far, it is crazy to think that Bandido is still in his 20s - not even yet reaching the prime years of his career.

Bandido is world-class in the ring, and in the small glimpses that fans have seen of him in AEW, he has been a thrill. Bandido has all the tools to be the masked phenomenon that the company needs. Once he is featured in a proper storyline, he will no doubt thrive.

Jack Perry has had a lot of success and show-stealing matches in AEW, but one thing he still needs to prove is his ability to carry himself in promos and from a charisma standpoint.

A heel turn could well help to unlock a new side of him, but fans are still yet to see him as someone who could be a future world champion.
