It was an emotional moment for Marcelo, who got to win a major title with his boyhood club.

The 35-year-old left Real Madrid on a free transfer after winning his fifth Champions League trophy against Liverpool in Paris in 2022.

He then signed with Greek side Olympiakos in September 2022, but the club terminated his contract after 10 games. He rejoined Fluminense in February 2023.

"Real Madrid will understand," he said. "It's my most important trophy, at club level, because it's the club that raised me. Real knows it's always in my heart. It's hard to say. It's a double joy," he said, via ESPN.

Marcelo won 25 trophies at Real Madrid, including five Champions Leagues, four Club World Cups, three UEFA Super Cups, and six La Liga titles.

After the celebration, Marcelo posted a picture on Instagram to celebrate the historic win. Neymar congratulated the defender and his former Brazil teammate on his Instagram story.
