Miranda Kerr may be a big city slicker these days, but she was actually a small town girl. She hails from the town of Gunnedah, New South Wales, which boasts a population of just over 12,000 people. Kerr did eventually move to a bigger city, though, packing up and moving to Brisbane with her family. At first, the move to Brisbane proved hard for Kerr, but, looking back, she knows her career trajectory depended on it. "We moved to Brisbane for the last two years of school. I didn't want to go, I wanted to stay in Gunnedah, get married, have babies... and now look at me! Wow, who would've known?" she told Homes To Love.

However, even as an A-list celebrity, she still makes time to return to her hometown every once in a while. "When I go back now, of course, things are different to what they were growing up, but I have those memories that I'll be able to keep forever. I'm so grateful to have had that experience, it has been very grounding," she told the publication.
