Jey Uso made history at Money in the Bank last weekend by pinning his cousin Roman Reigns. Jey was the first person to keep The Tribal Chief's shoulders down for a three count for more than three and a half years. The last person to achieve that feat was Baron Corbin when he beat the Undisputed Champion at TLC 2019.

What Reigns Said To Jey

Naturally a moment that would have meant the world to Jey, but it probably meant a lot to Reigns too. In fact, a moment fans have caught since shows how much the moment meant to the champ. A clip of Reigns being covered for the pin shows The Head of the Table quietly saying “I love you” to his cousin as the referee counts to three.

You can also see Jey squeezing Reigns' arm as his cousin tells him he loves him, either acknowledging that he heard what he said, or a sly way of saying thank you for allowing him to achieve such a monumental milestone in his career. Possibly a little bit of both. Not only does it continue to solidify The Usos, but particularly Jey, as main event players, but it seems likely the match will lead into a Reigns vs. Jey title match at SummerSlam.

Jey vs. Reigns At SummerSlam?

Shortly after Money in the Bank, it was reported WWE already has six big matches locked in for its biggest event of the summer. Topping that bill is Jey vs. Roman. If that really is what's next in this ongoing Bloodline angle, then we will likely know for sure this week on SmackDown. WWE has announced a trial for the Tribal Chief segment for the show which will emanate live from the iconic Madison Square Garden.

Having Jey pin Reigns, ending the latter's long streak without being pinned or submitted, doesn't appear to have been a decision everyone backstage agreed with. It has been reported since the PLE that at least one high-ranking creative team member lobbied for Reigns' pinless streak to continue, and that the first person to pin or submit The Tribal Chief should have won the Undisputed Title when they did it.
